Day - 2 Calves of steel!
Hey! Quick question- have you ever walked so much you actually woke up with toned calves the next morning? That's literally the first muscle on my body and I'm so impressed. Might show up at the gym more often.
Anyway, my roommates and I went on a self guided tour around Sydney and pretty much spoke about literally everything! The best part about not knowing a person is, you have so much information you can extract from them about themselves and gradually fall in love with their story and everything that makes them- them. None of us come from similar backgrounds, we're all so different and that's so beautiful. To find people who genuinely want to get to know you and your story is a blessing. And I had that. The entire time that I was with them, it didn't once occur to me that I needed to click a picture to show how much fun I was having, I was simply enjoying being with them. I guess for the first time, I was actually 'in the moment'.
Also guys, after our conversation I won't be surprised if a Norwegian guy and three Belgium girls walk around India calling random people "Chutiya". I take full credit for that. 😌
So yes, I wish I could share my memories with you so that you could see everything, but it was a rather experimentative day. We had Japanese cheesecake. Oh my God! It was SO good!! I really want to try the chocolate one. Didi actually looked for it in Sydney and sent me the directions, moreover she bought me the most amazing birthday present. Honestly, more than the present the fact that she puts in the effort to actually do the research is what gets to me the most. She bought me a charm bracelet two years ago that had a charm on it to signify- a new beginning. And now for my 21st birthday she bought me a charm to signify my first solo trip ever. It's so adorable, just like her.
I already feel like the luckiest person in the world and am simply grateful that I'm actually experiencing could possibly be the best time of my life.
While walking I couldn't help but think about, how much life can change in just a year. And yes you can be afraid of change but it literally changes for the better. I will sound like an annoying optimist, but think about it. What were you doing a year ago and just think about how better life has gotten over the year. Just the good parts. It always outweighs the bad. Last year this time, I was worried about something I don't even remember and right now, I'm in a new continent. Surprises life throws at you!
On a more touristy note we will be having our guided tour tomorrow, so that's when I'll get to meet everyone formally, and also our tour guide. So excited about that! Now, let's see what happens 🥰
